Liquidity Score Explained
Skin liquidity describes how easily and quickly a CS2 skin can be bought or sold without significantly moving its price.
Pricempire liquidity score evaluates market depth, listing counts, buy/sell price gaps, and Steam Market volume. For high-tier items that cannot trade on Steam because of the $2,000 limit, Buff market data can be used as an override signal.
Liquidity Levels

Number of active listings across marketplaces.
- Weight: 33 points
- 500+ listings: 33
- 200-499 listings: 25
- 100-199 listings: 18
- 50-99 listings: 12
- Less than 50 listings: 8
Buy/Sell Price Gap
Difference between buy orders and sell listings.
- Weight: 33 points
- 90%+ buy/sell ratio: 33
- 80-89% ratio: 25
- 70-79% ratio: 18
- 60-69% ratio: 12
- Below 60% ratio: 8
Steam Market Volume
Steam Community Market activity, or Buff override for high-tier items.
- Weight: 34 points
- 2400+ Steam sales: 34
- 1600-2399 sales: 28
- 800-1599 sales: 20
- 200-799 sales: 12
- Less than 200 sales: 8
- Buff override can apply when gap is at least 85% and listings are at least 5

Liquidity Score FAQ
Skin liquidity refers to how easily and quickly a CS2 skin can be bought or sold without significantly affecting its price. High liquidity means many buyers and sellers, stable prices, and quick transactions.
High liquidity ensures you can sell your skins quickly at fair market prices. Low liquidity items may take longer to sell and might require significant price reductions to find buyers.
Liquid skins typically have many active listings, small bid-ask spreads, high Steam market volume, and stable prices. Popular skins like AK-47 Redline or AWP Asiimov are examples of highly liquid items.
Liquidity scores are recalculated regularly based on real-time market data including current listings, Steam market volume, and price movements across multiple marketplaces.
Steam Market has a $2,000 price limit, so high-tier items like expensive gloves and knives cannot be sold there. For these items, Pricempire uses Buff market data, including buy/sell ratio and listing count, to estimate liquidity instead.
