About the Stiletto Knife
The Stiletto Knife is a slim, spring-loaded switchblade and one of the sleeker knives in CS2. It was added to CS:GO in August 2018 with the Horizon Case, and it is still available in CS2.
Its thin blade and quick flick-open action give it a clean, understated look, and it sits in the middle of the knife market, well below the Karambit and Butterfly Knife in price. This page covers the vanilla Stiletto Knife, the version with no finish applied.
The tabs at the top of this page show the current Stiletto Knife price for the standard and StatTrak™ versions.
Design
The Stiletto is an Italian-style automatic knife with a long, narrow blade that springs out of the handle at the press of a release catch. The in-game model is believed to be based on a Corsican knife, and it has a distinctive inspect animation in which the knife is tossed in the air. The vanilla version keeps the plain steel blade and dark handle, and the colors on this page break down as mostly grey, with brown.
With no finish there is no pattern or float to check, so every vanilla copy looks the same.
How to Get the Stiletto Knife
There are three ways to get a Stiletto Knife in CS2.
- Buy it from a marketplace. This is the route most players take, because it lets you pick the exact finish you want. The offers at the top of this page show every marketplace with a listing.
- Open a case. The Stiletto Knife drops from the Horizon Case and the Danger Zone Case, and its Chroma finishes come from the Prisma Case and the Prisma 2 Case. Knife drops are rare, at around 0.26% per case, and the finish you get is random.
- Trade up to it. Since October 2025, a trade-up contract using Covert skins can produce a knife from an eligible case. The finish is still random.
Stiletto Knife Finishes
The Stiletto Knife comes in the full range of classic and Chroma knife finishes, and Pricempire lists each one on its own page.
- The original finishes. The Fade, Case Hardened, Slaughter, Crimson Web, Blue Steel, and Night Stripe are the classic finishes from the Horizon and Danger Zone cases, alongside camo finishes such as Safari Mesh and Boreal Forest.
- The Chroma finishes. The Doppler, Marble Fade, Tiger Tooth, Damascus Steel, Ultraviolet, and Rust Coat come from the Prisma cases. The Doppler is listed by phase, including the Ruby, Sapphire, and Black Pearl.
Browse all Stiletto Knife skins to compare every finish side by side.
Vanilla, Wear, and StatTrak™
The vanilla Stiletto Knife has no finish, so it has no float value and no wear condition. Every vanilla copy looks the same, which means the only choice is between the standard version and the StatTrak™ version, which counts your kills with the knife.
Pricempire lists both versions separately, so you can compare them using the toggle above. Finished Stiletto Knives do have floats and wear conditions, which are shown on each finish's own page.
What Drives the Price of the Stiletto Knife
- Finish. The biggest factor across the range. Rare finishes such as the Doppler gem phases sit far above the vanilla and camo finishes.
- StatTrak™. The StatTrak™ vanilla is scarcer than the standard one and priced separately.
- The knife model. The Stiletto is a popular mid-range knife, more affordable than the Karambit, Butterfly Knife, or M9 Bayonet but above the cheapest models.
- Case supply. The vanilla drops from several cases, so it is easier to find than knives tied to a single case.
Compare the offers above before you buy or sell, and set a price alert if you are waiting for a particular level.
Similar Knives
If you like the Stiletto Knife, these are the closest alternatives.
- Knives from the same case. The Talon Knife and Ursus Knife were added alongside it in the Horizon Case.
- Other affordable knives. The Gut Knife and Shadow Daggers are the common picks for a first knife.
- Top-tier knives. The Butterfly Knife and M9 Bayonet are the knives most players work up to.
- Same case. The AK-47 | Neon Rider and Desert Eagle | Code Red are the Covert guns from the Horizon Case.
