About the Karambit | Lore
The Karambit | Lore is a Covert knife skin and one of the most recognizable Karambit finishes in CS2. It was released in CS:GO in June 2016 with the Gamma Case, as part of the Lore series of knife finishes.
The Lore finishes take their look from the AWP | Dragon Lore, one of the most famous skins in the game. That gold, medieval style on the Karambit's curved blade is a big part of the appeal, and unlike most top Karambit finishes it comes in every wear condition, which gives buyers a much wider range to choose from.
The wear tabs at the top of this page show the current Karambit Lore price for each condition.
Design
The blade is covered in gold metallic paint with a translucent medieval knotwork pattern, and a yellow-orange Celtic ornament with a dark brown outline runs along the lower edge. The handle is dark green. The colors on this page break down as mostly yellow and orange, with green.
The design is the same on every copy. There is no pattern to check, so the look of a particular Karambit Lore comes down to its wear.
How to Get the Karambit | Lore
There are three ways to get a Karambit | Lore in CS2.
- Buy it from a marketplace. This is the route most players take, because it lets you pick the exact wear and float. The offers at the top of this page show every marketplace with a listing.
- Open a case. The Karambit | Lore drops from the Gamma Case and the Gamma 2 Case. Knife drops are rare, at around 0.26% per case, and the finish you get is random.
- Trade up to it. Since October 2025, a trade-up contract using Covert skins can produce a knife from an eligible case. The finish is still random.
Wear Conditions and Float
The Karambit | Lore has a float range from 0.00 to 0.65, so it exists in all five wear conditions: Factory New (FN), Minimal Wear (MW), Field-Tested (FT), Well-Worn (WW), and Battle-Scarred (BS). Battle-Scarred only covers 0.45 to 0.65.
The knotwork pattern hides light wear well, so marks at Minimal Wear are hard to spot. Near the top of the range, around a third of the gold paint is gone from the blade, and the handle and finger ring are heavily scratched. Use the 3D inspect tool on this page to see how a given wear looks before you buy.
Switch between conditions using the tabs above. Each one has its own listings and price history.
Variants
The Karambit | Lore comes in a standard version and a StatTrak™ version, which counts your kills with the knife. Pricempire lists each version separately, so you can compare them using the toggle above. There is no Souvenir version.
What Drives the Price of the Karambit | Lore
- Wear. The biggest factor. Because the Lore comes in every condition, the gap between Factory New and Battle-Scarred copies is wide.
- Float within a condition. A low float inside any wear bracket usually carries a premium.
- StatTrak™. The StatTrak™ version is scarcer than the standard one and priced separately.
- The Karambit itself. It is one of the most wanted knife models in CS2, which lifts every finish on it.
- Case supply. The Gamma cases are older cases opened far less than current ones, so few new copies enter the market.
