About the Bayonet | Doppler
The Bayonet | Doppler is one of the most popular knife skins in CS2. It was added to CS:GO in January 2015 with the Chroma Case, which brought the Doppler finish into the game, and it is still one of the classic ways to own a Doppler knife.
The Bayonet is the straight, military-style knife that has barely changed since the Second World War, and the Doppler finish gives it a metallic candy-paint shine that comes in seven phases. Each phase has its own colors and its own price, from the common Phase 1 to the rare Ruby, Sapphire, and Black Pearl.
This page covers the Bayonet Doppler as a whole. Each phase also has its own page with its own listings, linked below. The wear tabs at the top of this page show the current price for each condition.
Design
The Doppler is made with black and silver metallic paints and a marbling effect, finished with a candy coat, so the blade shines and shifts color as it catches the light. On the Bayonet the finish covers the long straight blade, while the handle keeps its standard look. The colors on this page break down as mostly blue, with grey.
The look of any copy depends mainly on its phase. Within a phase, the exact pattern shifts the colors slightly from one knife to the next.
Bayonet Doppler Phases
The Doppler comes in seven phases. Pricempire lists each one separately, so you can compare prices phase by phase.
- Phase 1. Mostly dark, with pink and purple patches.
- Phase 2. The most pink and purple of the regular phases, and the most searched-for.
- Phase 3. Green and blue tones.
- Phase 4. Mostly blue, sometimes with purple.
- Ruby. A solid red blade. One of the three rare gem phases.
- Sapphire. A solid blue blade. One of the rarest and most valuable phases.
- Black Pearl. A dark, near-black blade with purple and blue highlights. The third gem phase.
The gem phases are priced far above the regular ones, so always check which phase a listing is before you compare prices.
How to Get the Bayonet | Doppler
There are three ways to get a Bayonet | Doppler in CS2.
- Buy it from a marketplace. This is the only route that lets you choose the phase, which makes it the route almost every buyer takes. The offers at the top of this page show every marketplace with a listing.
- Open a case. The Bayonet | Doppler drops from the Chroma Case, Chroma 2 Case, and Chroma 3 Case. Knife drops are rare, at around 0.26% per case, and the phase you get is random.
- Trade up to it. Since October 2025, a trade-up contract using Covert skins can produce a knife from an eligible case. The finish and phase are still random.
Wear Conditions and Float
The Bayonet | Doppler has a float range from 0.00 to 0.08, so it only exists in two wear conditions: Factory New (FN) and Minimal Wear (MW). There is no Field-Tested, Well-Worn, or Battle-Scarred version.
Because the range is so tight, wear barely shows, and the phase matters far more than the float. Most copies are Factory New, and Minimal Wear covers only 0.07 to 0.08.
Switch between the two conditions using the tabs above. Each one has its own listings and price history.
Variants
The Bayonet | Doppler comes in a standard version and a StatTrak™ version, which counts your kills with the knife. Pricempire lists each version separately. There is no Souvenir version.
What Drives the Price of the Bayonet | Doppler
- Phase. The biggest factor by far. Ruby, Sapphire, and Black Pearl sit well above the regular phases, and among those, Phase 2 and Phase 4 usually carry a premium.
- Pattern within a phase. Some patterns show more of the most wanted colors, which can add value.
- Float. With only two conditions, the exact float matters more than the wear name.
- StatTrak™. The StatTrak™ version is scarcer than the standard one and priced separately.
- Case supply. How often the three Chroma cases are opened decides how many new knives enter the market.
Compare the offers above before you buy or sell, and set a price alert if you are waiting for a particular level.
Similar Skins
If you like the Bayonet | Doppler, these are the closest alternatives.
- The M9 Bayonet. The M9 Bayonet is a different, bulkier knife that also comes in the Doppler finish. Buyers often compare the two.
- Doppler on other knives. The Butterfly Knife | Doppler, Karambit | Doppler, and Ursus Knife | Doppler carry the same finish and phases.
- Gamma Doppler. The Bayonet also comes in the Gamma Doppler finish, a different finish with green phases and an Emerald gem phase.
