About the AWP | Asiimov
The AWP | Asiimov is a Covert sniper rifle skin from The Phoenix Collection. It was released in CS:GO in February 2014 with the Operation Phoenix Weapon Case, and it is one of the most recognizable skins in Counter-Strike, still a favorite in CS2.
It is the best-known skin in the Asiimov line, the white, black, and orange sci-fi design that also appears on the P90, M4A4, AK-47, and P250. It is also unusual: there is no Factory New or Minimal Wear version, so every copy shows some wear.
It is one of the most actively traded AWP skins, with plenty of listings at any time. The wear tabs at the top of this page show the current AWP Asiimov price for each condition.
Design
The Asiimov has a futuristic look: a white rifle body with black and bright orange stripes and geometric markings across the weapon. The colors on this page break down as mostly grey and orange, with brown and red.
The design is the same on every copy. There is no pattern to check, so the look of a particular Asiimov comes down to its wear, and on this skin wear changes the look a great deal.
How to Get the AWP | Asiimov
There are three ways to get an Asiimov in CS2.
- Buy it from a marketplace. This is the route most players take, because it lets you pick the exact wear and float. The offers at the top of this page show every marketplace with a listing.
- Open a case. The AWP | Asiimov drops from the Operation Phoenix Weapon Case. It is one of two Covert skins in the case, alongside the AUG | Chameleon. Covert drops are rare, at around 0.64% per case.
- Trade up to it. Ten Classified skins from The Phoenix Collection trade up into one of its two Coverts, so the result is either an Asiimov or an AUG | Chameleon. The Classified skins in the collection are the AK-47 | Redline, Nova | Antique, and P90 | Trigon.
Wear Conditions and Float
The Asiimov has a float range from 0.18 to 1.00. Because the range starts at 0.18, it only exists in three wear conditions: Field-Tested (FT), Well-Worn (WW), and Battle-Scarred (BS). There is no Factory New or Minimal Wear Asiimov.
Wear is easy to see. Field-Tested copies show the first scuffs on the handguard and stock, and the body gets heavily worn and darker toward the top of the range. The best-looking copies sit low in Field-Tested, close to 0.18.
At the other end, copies with a float of roughly 0.90 or higher have a fully worn, black scope. These are known as Blackiimovs, and collectors often pay more for them than for ordinary Battle-Scarred copies. Use the 3D inspect tool on this page to see how a given wear looks before you buy, and check the exact float of any listing.
Switch between conditions using the tabs above. Each one has its own listings and price history.
Variants
The AWP | Asiimov comes in a standard version and a StatTrak™ version, which counts your kills with the weapon. Pricempire lists each version separately, so you can compare them using the toggle above.
What Drives the Price of the AWP | Asiimov
- Float. This matters more than the wear name. Low Field-Tested floats near 0.18 carry a premium, and so do Blackiimovs at the very top of the range. Mid-range copies are usually the lowest priced.
- Wear. Field-Tested sits above Well-Worn and ordinary Battle-Scarred.
- StatTrak™. The StatTrak™ version is scarcer than the standard one and priced separately.
- Case supply. The Operation Phoenix Weapon Case is an older case that is opened far less than current ones, so fewer new copies enter the market.
- The Asiimov name. Demand for the line as a whole supports every skin in it, and this is the skin the line is known for.
- Applied stickers. Rare or well-placed stickers can add value that standard price data does not show.
Because it trades so often, prices between marketplaces stay close together. It is still worth comparing the offers above, and setting a price alert if you are waiting for a particular level.

- Other Asiimov skins. The P90 | Asiimov is the SMG version of the design. You can see every weapon with the finish on the Asiimov skins page.
- Other Covert AWP skins from cases. The AWP | Chrome Cannon, AWP | Chromatic Aberration, and AWP | Lightning Strike are the skins buyers most often weigh it against.
- Same case. The AUG | Chameleon is the other Covert from the Operation Phoenix Weapon Case, and the AK-47 | Redline comes from the same collection.
