The Flip-knife Fade is split into normal 21 patterns. They all lay between 80% to 100%. The five main ones are 80%, 85%, 90%, 95%, and 100% Fade. These percentages stand for how much of the blade is faded.
80% is the least faded and, therefore worst, while 100% is completely faded and is thus the best. 100% is also called Full Fade, while 98% and 99% are called Fake Full Fade. This is because they are nearly identical to Full Fade – only having slightly less purple on the tip of the knife.
The pattern has three main colors of purple, pink and yellow with some unpainted parts on some patterns which appear grey. This all appears in different degrees depending on what pattern index the knife has, the more of the blade is faded the more its worth. The blade and the screw (on high fades) are faded, while the handle always is unfaded.

100% Full Fade patterns represent the pinnacle of Flip Knife Fade finishes. These patterns feature complete fade coverage across the entire blade with perfect yellow-pink-purple transitions.
53 patterns - Excellent fade coverage

99% Fade patterns offer near-perfect fade coverage with excellent color transitions. These patterns provide outstanding visual appeal while being more accessible than 100% patterns.
51 patterns - High fade coverage
98% Fade patterns provide high-quality fade coverage with good color distribution. These patterns offer excellent value for collectors seeking premium fade finishes.
43 patterns - Standard fade

95% Fade patterns provide standard fade coverage with good fade characteristics at competitive prices.
At a float value of 0.05, a small abrasion starts to become noticeable if you look closely, at the bottom of the blade right underneath the serrations, and gets considerably worse as the float value gets higher.
Although the area of the abrasion is rather small, if you are someone who wants a completely unblemished finish, expect to overpay more for a low float Factory New Flip Knife Fade.
