About CS2 SMG Skins
CS2 SMG skins cover the seven submachine guns in Counter-Strike 2: the MAC-10, MP9, MP7, MP5-SD, UMP-45, P90, and PP-Bizon. SMGs are what players buy when a rifle is out of reach or simply not needed. They are cheap, fast-firing, and accurate on the move, which makes them strongest at close range.
Their main job is the anti-eco round. When the other team is saving and has little or no armor, an SMG does a rifle's work for less money, and most SMGs pay a higher kill reward than rifles do. They are also a common force buy pick when a team needs firepower it can't fully afford.
That role shapes the market for SMG skins in CS2. SMGs come out in the early rounds of almost every half, so their skins get real screen time, yet they generally sit below rifles and the AWP in price. For most players, that makes an SMG one of the more affordable places to put a good-looking skin in a loadout. At the top end, a handful of rare collection and Souvenir finishes are true chase-grade items.
The side you play matters too. The MAC-10 is Terrorist-side only and the MP9 is Counter-Terrorist-side only, while the other five can be equipped on both sides. This page gives you an overview of all seven and points you to the full skin list and live prices for each weapon.
SMG Types on Pricempire
Pricempire has a dedicated page for each of the seven SMGs, showing every finish, wear condition, and real-time pricing. They are grouped here by the side that can buy them.
Terrorist-side
MAC-10. The MAC-10 is the standard Terrorist pick for anti-eco and force buy rounds, and the cheapest SMG to buy in-game. It is a rush weapon: light, fast, and forgiving while moving. Because it gets bought so often, it has one of the widest price ranges in the class, from entry-level finishes to sought-after collection skins. See all MAC-10 skins on Pricempire.
Counter-Terrorist-side
MP9. The MP9 is the Counter-Terrorist counterpart to the MAC-10 and the most popular SMG for skins. A very high fire rate and strong mobility make it the default choice for CT anti-eco rounds, and it is a regular sight in professional matches. Its range runs from budget finishes to some of the most valuable SMG skins in the game. Browse all MP9 skins on Pricempire.
Both sides
MP7. The MP7 is the all-rounder. It costs more in-game than the MAC-10 or MP9 and gives you better damage and control at mid-range in return. If you want one SMG that works on either side, the MP7 is a sensible place to start, and the best MP7 skins cover every rarity up to Covert. Explore MP7 skins.
MP5-SD. The MP5-SD is a close relative of the MP7, with near-identical stats and an integrated suppressor that keeps your shots quiet. It is the newest SMG in the game, so its catalog is smaller than the others, but it has picked up several standout collection finishes. View MP5-SD skins.
UMP-45. The UMP-45 trades fire rate for harder-hitting rounds that hold up better against armor, which makes it a dependable force buy option. Most UMP skins sit in the lower price tiers, with a few rare exceptions near the top of the SMG market. See all UMP-45 skins.
P90. The P90 stands out for its bullpup design, large magazine, and how easy it is to use. It is also the most expensive SMG to buy in-game, with a lower kill reward than the rest. Several of the best-known SMG finishes belong to it, including the Asiimov, Death by Kitty, and Emerald Dragon. Browse all P90 skins.
PP-Bizon. The PP-Bizon has the largest magazine of any SMG and the weakest performance against armor, so it is a specialist pick for rounds where the other team has none. Its skins are among the most affordable in CS2, which makes it an easy weapon to kit out on a small budget. Check PP-Bizon skins.
How SMG Finishes & Rarity Work
SMG skins use the standard CS2 weapon rarity scale. From most common to rarest, the grades are Consumer Grade, Industrial Grade, Mil-Spec, Restricted, Classified, and Covert. Covert is the top tier for an SMG.
Rarity tells you how often a skin drops from its case or collection. It is not a direct price ranking, because supply matters just as much. A lower-grade skin from a discontinued collection can be worth more than a Covert from a case that is still dropping, and many of the most valuable SMG skins come from older or limited collections.
Wear condition is the second factor. Every skin has a float value that places it in one of five conditions: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, or Battle-Scarred. The float is set when the skin is created and never changes with use. Cleaner conditions usually cost more, though the gap between conditions varies a lot from one finish to the next, and not every finish exists in all five.
Two special variants add another layer:
StatTrak™ versions track your kills with that weapon. They are available on many SMG finishes that drop from weapon cases.
Souvenir versions come from tournament packages tied to map collections, and carry that event's stickers.
Pricempire lists each variant separately, so you can see how a StatTrak™ or Souvenir version is priced next to the standard one. Availability differs by finish, so check the individual skin page before you decide.
A few finishes, such as fades and case hardened styles, also vary by pattern. The individual weapon pages cover those in more detail.
Choosing an SMG
Start with the side you play most. The MAC-10 and MP9 are the SMGs you will buy most often, so a skin on either one gets more use than a skin on any other weapon in the class. If you want to cover both halves of a match, that pair is the place to begin.
If you would rather have one skin that follows you to both sides, look at the MP7, MP5-SD, UMP-45, P90, or PP-Bizon. Pick the one you actually buy in matches. A skin on a weapon that never leaves your loadout menu is money you won't see in-game.
Then set a budget. SMG skins span every price tier:
Entry-level. Every SMG has plenty of low-cost finishes, and PP-Bizon and UMP-45 skins in particular sit mostly at the affordable end.
Mid-range. Classified and Covert finishes from recent cases, often with a StatTrak™ option, are where most players end up.
Chase-grade. The MP9, MAC-10, and P90 have the widest spread, reaching up to rare collection and Souvenir finishes in clean wear conditions.
Wear is the easiest place to save. Many finishes look close to identical in Minimal Wear and Field-Tested, and the lower condition can cost noticeably less. Others scratch heavily as the float rises, so it is worth checking how a specific finish wears before you buy.
Once you have a weapon in mind, open its page to see every finish with live prices, then use the individual skin page to check each wear condition, variant, and price history.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many SMGs are there in CS2?
There are seven SMGs in CS2: the MAC-10, MP9, MP7, MP5-SD, UMP-45, P90, and PP-Bizon. Each one has its own page on Pricempire with every available finish.
What are the best SMG skins in CS2?
It depends on your taste and budget. The best MP9 skins and best MAC-10 skins get the most attention because those two weapons see the most play, and P90 finishes such as the Asiimov are among the most recognizable in the class. Every SMG also has well-regarded finishes in the lower price tiers.
Which SMGs are Terrorist-side and which are Counter-Terrorist-side?
The MAC-10 is Terrorist-side only and the MP9 is Counter-Terrorist-side only. The MP7, MP5-SD, UMP-45, P90, and PP-Bizon can be bought on both sides.
Are SMG skins cheaper than rifle skins?
Generally, yes. SMG skins tend to sit below comparable AK-47, M4, and AWP skins, which makes them a good-value way to fill out a loadout. There are exceptions, since rare collection and Souvenir SMG skins can be very valuable.
What is the highest rarity for an SMG skin?
Covert. SMGs follow the standard weapon rarity scale that runs from Consumer Grade up to Covert.
Do SMG skins come in StatTrak™?
Many do. StatTrak™ is available on most SMG finishes that drop from weapon cases, while skins from map collections usually come in standard and Souvenir versions instead. The individual skin page on Pricempire shows which variants exist.
Where can I see all MP9, P90, or MP7 skins in CS2?
Use the links in the SMG Types section above. Each weapon page lists all of that SMG's skins with real-time pricing across every wear condition.
