About the Karambit | Fade
The Karambit | Fade is one of the original knife skins in Counter-Strike. It was added to CS:GO in August 2013 with the Arms Deal update, and it is still one of the most wanted knives in CS2.
It puts one of the game's best-known finishes on one of its most popular knife models. The Fade's purple, pink, and yellow gradient suits the Karambit's curved blade, and because the finish only exists in clean conditions, every copy keeps its colors.
No two copies are quite the same. The share of yellow and purple changes with each knife's pattern, which traders measure as a fade percentage. The wear tabs at the top of this page show the current Karambit Fade price for each condition.
Design
The Fade uses transparent paints airbrushed over a chrome base, so the colors blend into each other along the blade: yellow at one end, through pink, to purple at the other. The finger ring is a light beige and the handle is left unpainted. The colors on this page break down as mostly grey and pink, with purple.
Fade Percentage
Every copy has a pattern number that decides how the colors sit on the blade. Traders turn that into a fade percentage, which describes how much of the blade shows the full yellow-to-purple gradient.
- Full Fade (100%). The most yellow and the most sought-after.
- 99% Fade. Almost identical to a Full Fade, and often valued close to it.
- 95% to 98%. More purple and less yellow, and still valued above lower fades.
- Lower fades. More purple across the blade. These are the most common copies and the lowest priced.
Always check the fade percentage of a listing alongside its float, since two Factory New copies can be priced very differently.
How to Get the Karambit | Fade
There are three ways to get a Karambit | Fade in CS2.
- Buy it from a marketplace. This is the only route that lets you choose the fade percentage, which makes it the route almost every buyer takes. The offers at the top of this page show every marketplace with a listing.
- Open a case. The Karambit is a rare special item in the original run of CS:GO weapon cases, including the CS:GO Weapon Case series, the eSports cases, and the Operation Bravo, Phoenix, and Vanguard cases, plus the Revolver Case. Fade is one of the original finishes in those cases, and the cases linked on this page can drop it. Knife drops are rare, at around 0.26% per case.
- Trade up to it. Since October 2025, a trade-up contract using Covert skins can produce a knife from an eligible case.
Wear Conditions and Float
The Karambit | Fade has a float range from 0.00 to 0.08, so it only exists in two wear conditions: Factory New (FN) and Minimal Wear (MW). There is no Field-Tested, Well-Worn, or Battle-Scarred version.
Wear barely shows. Near the top of the range, small marks appear on the middle of the blade, the edge of the ring, and the corner of the blade by the handle. Most copies are Factory New, and Minimal Wear covers only 0.07 to 0.08.
Switch between the two conditions using the tabs above. Each one has its own listings and price history.
Variants
The Karambit | Fade comes in a standard version and a StatTrak™ version, which counts your kills with the knife. Pricempire lists each version separately, so you can compare them using the toggle above. There is no Souvenir version.
What Drives the Price of the Karambit | Fade
- Fade percentage. The biggest factor between copies. Full Fades and 99% Fades carry the largest premium.
- Float. With only two conditions, the exact float matters more than the wear name. Very low floats carry a premium.
- StatTrak™. The StatTrak™ version is scarcer than the standard one and priced separately.
- The Karambit itself. It is one of the most wanted knife models in CS2, which lifts every finish on it.
- Case supply. Most of the cases that drop it are no longer in the active drop pool, so few new knives enter the market.
Compare the offers above before you buy or sell, and set a price alert if you are waiting for a particular level.
Similar Skins
If you like the Karambit | Fade, these are the closest alternatives.
- Other Karambit finishes. The Karambit | Marble Fade is a different finish with a red, yellow, and blue swirl, often confused with the Fade. The Karambit | Case Hardened is the other pattern-driven Karambit, and the standard Karambit has no finish at all.
- Fade on other knives. The M9 Bayonet | Fade, Bayonet | Fade, Talon Knife | Fade, and Ursus Knife | Fade carry the same gradient.
- More choice. Browse all Karambit skins on Pricempire.
