Flip Knife Fire & Ice Pattern

Understanding Fire & Ice Patterns

Flip Knife | Marble Fade was added to the game on January 08, 2015, alongside the "Full Spectrum" update. The skin is available in all "Chroma" cases.

Pattern Description

The blade of the knife is painted with metallic paints and adorned with a pattern of translucent wavy lines resembling smoke. The color scheme of the skin includes various shades of yellow, blue and red creating gradient transitions. The handle remains unpainted.

The appearance of Flip Knife | Marble Fade highly depends on the pattern index. "Fire & Ice" is considered to be the rarest and the most valuable pattern variation. It is distinguished by the presence of only red and blue colors on the play side of the knife. "Fire & Ice" has several "Max" rates which vary from 4 (minimal amount of red) to 1 (maximum amount of red). Pattern variations with the "1st Max" rate are considered to be the most valuable. The less valuable pattern is "Fake F&I", which has a yellow area on the base of the blade.
