Natus Vincere vs FaZe Clan
Delivering a spectacle filled with twists and turns, NaVi faced FaZe in the Grand Final of PGL Major Copenhagen 2024.
Map 1: Ancient (FaZe's Pick)
The first map began with FaZe getting the initial two rounds, but NaVi quickly responded with three of their own. Although FaZe could win the next round, NaVi repeated their previous three-round-streak which got interrupted by broky's 1v2 clutch. The teams traded rounds, but NaVi managed to edge out with a 7-5 lead at halftime.
The second half saw NaVi extend their lead with three consecutive wins, though FaZe mounted a strong comeback with four rounds in their favor. However, NaVi's determination shone through as they won the last three rounds, the last one seemed to be lost, but in the end securing the first map.
Map 2: Mirage (NaVi's Pick)
The second map was a completely different story, dominated by FaZe. Despite NaVi winning the opening and the last round of the first half, FaZe's overwhelming performance left little room for NaVi, ending in 13-2 leaving it to decide by the third ma.
Map 3: Inferno (Leftover)
The climax of the championship happened on Inferno. NaVi started with an impressive streak of seven wins, setting a challenging pace for FaZe. FaZe managed to break NaVi's streak with a colossal 1v3 clutch and another win, but NaVi was quick to extend their lead with two more rounds. Despite FaZe's efforts, NaVi also dominated the second half with four more wins, clinching the championship title and crowning themselves the grand champions in Copenhagen. Congratulations to them!
