Eternal Fire vs Natus Vincere
The third quarter-final of the PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen featured Eternal Fire versus NaVi with the latter coming out on top.
Map 1: Mirage (NaVi's Pick)
Eternal Fire secured two victories in the beginning, followed by NaVi's exceptional streak of nine consecutive wins, ending in Eternal Fire claiming the final round just before halftime, making it a tie.
Fighting back in the second half, Eternal Fire came out strong, clinching the first four rounds. NaVi briefly interrupted with a single win, but External Fire kept their lead with five additional victories. NaVi fought back, securing the next two rounds, resulting in 12-12. In the overtime jL did a 1v2 clutch to set NaVi on map point and eventually NaVi won the next round as well, giving them the victory on Mirage.
Map 2: Inferno (Eternal Fire's Pick)
On Inferno, NaVi took an early lead with two rounds, but Eternal Fire responded by securing the next three rounds. The back-and-forth continued as NaVi won another round, followed by two successful rounds for Eternal Fire. NaVi then equalized with two rounds of their own with one being w0nderful's Ace. After that each team managed to win one more round, resulting in a tied score at halftime once again.
NaVi took the lead again with the first four rounds, but Eternal Fire fought back, claiming two rounds. The momentum shifted as NaVi took another round, only for ETernal Fire to respond with a win of their own. However, NaVi won the last two rounds and with it their place in the semifinals.
MOUZ vs G2
The fourth quarter-final of the PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen was played between MOUZ and G2 with G2 winning two maps.
Map 1: Inferno (G2's Pick)
Although MOUZ won the pistol round, HooXi almost foiled their victory. G2 swiftly turned the tables with an impressive streak of seven consecutive wins. MOUZ managed to strike back with three rounds, yet G2 closed the first half with a victory in the final round.
The second half started off with G2's three rounds, followed by MOUZ claiming the next four, including a 1v3 situation by Jimpphat. Then each team collected one win for themselves, and the round ended with G2's final win on Inferno, getting the win on the map.
Map 2: Vertigo (MOUZ's Pick)
G2 dominated the early game by clinching the first six rounds in a row with a win so close it confused even the casters. After the sixth round MOUZ made a strong comeback, securing the following five rounds. It all concluded with another win for G2, having the score at 7-5.
As the second half started, MOUZ took the pistol round victory, only to be overtaken by G2's remarkable streak of six consecutive wins. This allowed them to advance to semifinals.
