It’s an accumulation of all skins, their prices and supply, measured by the biggest and most liquid market out there - Buff163. The current marketcap of CS2 skins is close to three billion US-Dollars, which is insane to think about.
The best thing about our analysis tool are the three other data sets that we implemented next to the CS2 market cap. Namingly, the Bitcoin price, the active CS2 players and the S&P 500, which makes it an amazing resource to understand the relations between these different factors that might more or less influence CS2 skin prices.
Individual Item Analysis
Next up, we want to look at the individual item section of our Trending Items feature. On default settings you will find items sorted by the biggest individual market cap starting with the Butterfly Knife Fade in Factory New, which exists 11,095 times and has a current price of USD 2,958, resulting in a market cap of close to 30 million US-Dollars. Next to these information you can find the price development, the amount of trades and trading volume for all CS2 items in this section.
Right above the first item you see multiple sorting options. On the left side you can search for any item that you’re interested in. Furthermore, you can exclude certain item categories by entering them to “Blacklist” and apply filters for specific weapon or collection groups. With that, you could for example take a look at all AK-47 skins in your price class (which can be adjusted further on the right) and compare their recent price development, as well as supply, market cap and more.
